The Rainy City Roller Girls are out for blood on the 17th of April at the Castle Leisure Centre Bury. Ever since the last bottle of Old Sailor Jerry vanished in mysterious circumstances it was only going to be a matter of time before the factions decided to do battle.

The Jolly Dodgers captained by R.E.D will take on Blackbeard’s Bruisers lead by Cat Outta Hell in a pitched battle to finally answer the question “where has all the rum gone?”.

As of last night the stakes have been raised, The Dodgers roped in some Liverpool Roller Birds to join the fray, the Bruisers of course responded with “ha! We see your Roller Birds and Raise you two Wakey WheeledCats” So naturally both teams have two Birds and two Cats…

Many of the girls involved will be bouting for the first time so grab your pom poms and support your team.

Liverpool Roller Birds make the morning news ...

Liverpool Roller Birds got a special mention yesterday for their contribution to the annual Liverpool charity Santa Dash!

Five birds had planned to skate the course, however they had to abandon their skates due to weather conditions, and completed the run in trainers instead.

Wanna be a Santa on Skates?

Anyone fancy dressing as Santa and skating around Liverpool City Centre?

Members of the Liverpool Birds and Rainy City Roller Girls are planning to take part in the Liverpool Santa Dash on skates, and are looking for people to join them!

If you're already fairly confident then sign up to skate, and if not but you want to be involved, then the girls are looking for volunteers to help them with any hills and obstacles along the way, as well as flyering and flag carrying.

Liverpool Roller Birds take flight!

Anyone in the Liverpool area keen to get involved with the brand new league, Liverpool Roller Birds, get your skates on!


First practice will take place at Garston Urban Village Hall from 12pm - 2pm this Saturday afternoon.


Practice is FREE but there's a nominal fee to hire equipment.  If you need to hire equipment, please email the Birds beforehand so they can reserve some for you.


Skaters need to be 18 and over, and boys are more than welcome!

Jet Stepper would like to welcome yet another brand new league to the UK Roller Derby world!

Introducing the Liverpool Roller Birds!

Newbie skate sessions will start on Saturday 7th November 12-2pm at Garston Urban Village Hall.  

You don't need your own skates or equipment, and no previous skating experience is needed, just let the girls know that you're coming along HERE.
